Mexican Hot Chocolate

  • 1 1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 3-4 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1-2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg


  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the chocolate chips with the evaporated milk. Once they're melted, stir in the whole milk, then add the cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. Start with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and add more if desired. Heat through, then serve with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
